Tion Hegemony

The Tion Hegemony is an area of the Tion Cluster and the Greater Tion. It was once part of the Empire of Xim the Despot, including those worlds that made up the Livien League. Later the Honorable Union of Desevro and Tion, only to be destroyed during the Tionese War. Subsequently the cluster became part of the Republic, though there was historically an undercurrent of discontent- which contributed to it’s support of the Separatist cause.

The Jedi apostate Count Dooku announced the formation of the Separatist Movement on the world of Raxus Prime in the Tion Hegemony. Following the formation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems it’s parliament convened on Raxus Secundus. Soon the Galactic Civil War began, and while the Confederacy would fall the Tion Hegemony would secure it’s independence due to it’s relationship with the Santhe Corporation, headquartered on the Tion Hegemony world of Lianna. As Santhe’s subsidiary Sienar Fleet Systems provides a large amount of war material for the Galactic Empire, they have convinced the Empire to refrain from invading the Hegemony. In exchange Santhe has significant influence over the Hegemony’s government and access to several former Separatist industrial worlds.

However, not all agree with these circumstances. Many seek a way to throw off Sienar’s yoke and remain independent without their assistance. This faction has had some successes over the years, increasing the size of the Tion Hegemony Security Forces significantly. However, this is a double-edged sword, since this largely has resulted from Sienar’s assistance, only maintaining their influence.
